Practice Score Calculator
Enter your raw correct and total question count, choose your exam, and get your percent score, a pass/fail call, and exactly how many more correct answers you need.
How this works
Percent score = correct ÷ total × 100. The calculator compares that to the exam's passing percentage to give you a pass/fail call, and works out the minimum correct answers needed out of the same total to clear the bar, so you can see exactly how far off (or ahead) you are.
Frequently asked questions
How is my practice score calculated?
Percent score is your number of correct answers divided by the total number of questions, multiplied by 100. The calculator then compares that percentage to the passing score of the exam you select (or a passing percentage you enter manually).
What if my exam is not in the list?
Pick "Other (set passing % manually)" and enter the published passing percentage for your exam. The score and pass/fail math work the same way for any multiple-choice exam.
How many more correct answers do I need to pass?
The calculator works out the minimum number of correct answers (out of the same total) needed to reach the passing percentage, then subtracts what you already got right. If you already clear the bar, it shows your margin instead.
Is a passing practice score a guarantee I will pass the real exam?
No. It is a useful signal, especially across several attempts, but the real exam may include a different question mix, unscored pilot items, or scaled scoring that a simple percentage calculation cannot fully replicate.
Does this work for any multiple-choice exam, not just IT certifications?
Yes. The correct/total and pass/fail math applies to any exam scored as a straight percentage of questions answered correctly.
